One load from storage. 95% craft. Good thing we have the one car garage to put it all in. Plus it is lined with shelves, except for the front part that will be the glass studio. All the glass and kiln are here too. YIPPPPPEEE!

Tomorrow is going to storage again and bringing more home. We have to get all the craft items into the one car garage so that we can craft. I played around a little bit today out in the workshop with some pine and oak pieces and my wood chisel set. Will have to work on that some more.

We have to get our aquaponics back up and running. We did a container garden this year, but the goldfish need a place that is bigger than the cool chest that they are in.  The end to another day. What will get done tomorrow?

I found myself looking around on Amazon, eBay and Etsy today looking for another possible niche that is handmade and the pieces can be found anywhere and are not all that expensive. The finished product can be sold competitively. I have to talk with the crafter of the family and see where she is with this idea.

05/25/17 Daily Blog

We got our first load out of storage today. Going back tomorrow since it is cooler weather. Tired of the triple digit days and summer hasn't even hit yet.

What are you going to be doing for Memorial Day Weekend?
You guessed it. We're going to be getting more out of storage and working. Not sure that we got all the Amazon returns out of storage yet. All our craft items are still there along with the majority of the trading cards.

  1. As always, if you don't list it you can't sell it.

05/23/17 Daily Blog

The one car garage has been emptied and the items are now in the two car garage and needing to be organized further. We're currently using slider bins with the drawers labeled and a built-in shelving unit.

Day 2 of the replacement phone updates.

Found The missing piece to the photo studio. Thank goodness.

What we've sold in the last few days:

A few smalls on Amazon.
Waiting for an auction to end on eBay so I can add that to the sold list.

  2. Check for local auctions.
  3. Check for yard/estate sales

It's hot here in Northern California and only to get hotter. In the next month, we will be insulating the garage door here in the two car garage. We've already added an, 8,000 BTU Air Conditioner to a window and the heat of the day it just can't keep up.

05/22/17 Daily Blog

Expecting my replacement phone today. I have been without my phone for well over a month now and really haven't missed it. However, we are getting back into the swing of things and sourcing is part of that so it was imperative to get ahold of Verizon and get a replacement phone sent to me.

Still looking for a piece of the photo studio so that we can get pictures taken for the eBay drafts that we have ready to go.

As a reseller one must keep some things to themselves, all the while being transparent. I am not making millions here. I hear some sellers saying they make this much in this amount of time. This might be gross. To each their own. I am here just trying to have fun on the hunt while selling goods. The $ that is net paying the bills and goes into savings. We take one nice vacation a year before school starts as a family. We do not own fancy cars or a house. We are renters awaiting the right time to buy. Hopefully, the owners of this house will sell it to us. 😃

Here's the list for today:
  1. Check for orders. Get orders shipped out.
  2. Check for local auctions.
  3. Check for yard/estate sales
  4. Add smalls via spreadsheet to Amazon
  5. Add items to Inventory Lab #FeedTheBeast

Feeling the need to craft. Will start setting up my workshop tomorrow. Need to tear out the table tops (1" particle board). They are weathered and warped. Need to put a brace down the middle of both benches.

Watching all of Steve Bruzzichesi vlogs on YouTube. He is a no nonsense guy that educates from his past. Learning is never overrated. Research takes time and if I can find someone that has already done the research all the better. Again, Time is $. Sold some smalls and some product that has been hanging out on Amazon for awhile. Have to get to list more. Can't sell what isn't listed.

Downloading new Dymo software so that perhaps my Dymo will work with Inventory Lab since the move. I have created a new batch on Inventory Lab for some smalls. I watched globalvoodoo on YouTube.

05/14/17 Daily Blog Happy Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day to all the Mothers out there. Being a Mom has forever changed my life. We could not be more blessed to have our son.

Finally caught up on globalvoodoo and what he's up to these days.

The life of a reseller is not for everyone. It is not easy being a reseller. Others look down at you as if this is not a real job. Isn't anything that brings in money a job? Since I hurt my hip I have been staying in the car more when out shopping. I have been watching the panhandlers in my area. One lady asked me for $ twice yesterday all in about 10 minutes. She was dressed well, wore makeup and was clean. Whether she was looking for cigarette/beer/drug $ she was well known and lots of people gave her $ and hugs. Panhandling can be a source of income. There is even a family (a husband and wife and their two sons, the youngest is probably about 9 years old). The husband holds the sign and the wife collects the $. They are all clean and well dressed. Perhaps this is their only income. I have heard that one can make good $ doing this. This job is just not for me.

Reselling is hard work whether it be Thrifting, Retail Arbitrage, Online Arbitrage, Drop Shipping, or whatever. Research, research, research. This all takes Time and Time is money. I do thrifting and retail arbitrage. I just can't, not go on the "hunt". I guess you can ever call this an addiction. I have always sold smalls and probably will until I can no longer. This is my niche and I prefer this because of my knowledge. Smalls don't take up a lot of room and can be stored easily.

Listening to some tunes and moving more things around in the office. Can't wait until all the moving is done.

As always check out our store, Simply Sandoval.

05/13/17 Daily Blog

Getting the office more set up today. Need to find my Electronics tote so that I can get out more red/yellow and white cords so that we can use the RF Modulator that we got to be able to add more items to the one TV in our office. Our son's TV and his DVD player is set up and need to move some smalls to their shelves and then we get to move the 4 x 8-foot table to the middle of the room so that we can put in more shelves for my smalls. Then office will be almost completely set up. It has taken time but is well worth it. Can't wait to utilize it in all its capacity.

Have to set up our photo area so that we can make some listings. Need to look for some smalls that I had in my spreadsheet to send off to FBA.

Still working on catching up on globalvoodoo on YouTube.

Need to work on managing my time better. Since I hurt my hip a little over a month ago it has really slowed the process down. Not getting my daily goals met.

05/12/17 Daily Blog

Catching up on some globalvoodoo Vlogs on YouTube. I watch his channel more than any other channel. He says how it is and is real.

Have to get back in to my groove. Before the move, I was working the dream every day.

List, List, List

If you don't list it, you can't sell it. We are going to be reviving our eBay store. I am dabbling in some dropshipping on our Shopify store. Will update as we go how it's going.

05/10/17 Daily Blog

The new chapter has started and we're ready for the pages to turn.

Today will be the day that we get the rest of the office set up and work on where to put the stereo system, the large 4 foot x 8 foot table that will not only be part of the intake area, the packaging and shipping area along with possibly a crafting area too. Can't wait to make the first craft project. The smalls that are on the table need to be shelved so that the table can be moved to its spot. Then more shelving put together and more smalls brought from storage. Geez, can't remember what all is in storage it has been so long. Three months is a long time.
If we don't get to all this then we can do some more tomorrow. Each thing getting done works towards the goal of getting it all done. Also have to mow today.
Hopefully we get some awesome news via phone today. Sorry can't elaborate on this.
What else will we get to today...

Awesome news via phone. More calls made and heading to South Sacramento tomorrow for a meeting. It has been over two years waiting for this meeting. We're ready. The next 60 days will change our lives forever.

05/09/17 Daily Blog We're Back

The daily blog idea just didn't happen while we did our packing and moving. We have moved from one house to two garages, a house, and a storage unit. All furniture is in place, washer and dryer into house.  Whew! Now setting up the office and moving on with getting shipments sent in to FBA. #FeedTheBeast
Next on the agenda is setting up the garages. These garages just aren't the every day garages. They each have a room separate from the main part. The one car garage is going to be a glass studio (the room part) and a craft area as it is covered wall to wall with shelves. The two car garage will be the office and shipping area for our Amazon, eBay and Etsy endeavors. I just can not wait until this is done and the $$$ is flowing in again. We have taken 3 months off from buying and have sent just one shipment into FBA.
Time to get the mojo flowing again.
I will also be writing more about other things impacting our lives. Yes very vague. Have some things in motion that are just awesome for us, but until the most important thing is complete there will be no writings about it.
Until tomorrow.
