06/30/17 Daily Blog

We're edging back to the triple digits here in the 707. We have to get more organized so it will feel like we can work.
Sales have been slow, but it is summer time and the 4th of July is almost here then we should see some more sales. We have to list more on Etsy, eBay and get some more FBA sent into Amazon.
Found some Amazon listings that needed to be fixed. Lots and lots of fun.

What we've sold today:

Amazon -
2016 TOPPS ALLEN AND GINTER THE NUMBERS GAME #NG88 PRINCE FIELDER
2017 TOPPS SILVER SLUGGER AWARDS #SS13 MARK TRUMBO

eBay -
  1. Doc DR MARTENS Women's size 8 AIRWAIR Black LEATHER Lace Up Combat BOOTS
Etsy -

Local - Mercari, Letgo, Mile 5, Offer Up -
Coming Soon

My thoughts on our recent sales:
  1. As always, if you don't list it you can't sell it.
  2. Items don't always sell for what we want to get out of them. Amazon and books. Have to work on this one.
  3. All years of trading cards sell, even the mass produced years. Shown by my recent sales.
  4. Having the item gone might include a sale at a loss. Lots of this lately.
  5. Returns are eating up my profits. Will flip the returns to eBay.
Here's the to-do list for today:
  1. Check for orders. Get orders shipped out.
  2. Check for yard/garage/estate sales
  3. Get ready for Amazon returns
  4. Get shipment ready to send to FBA
  5. Add (100) trading cards via spreadsheet to Amazon
  6. Add items to Inventory Lab #FeedTheBeast
  7. Add replens to Inventory Lab #FeedTheBeast
  8. Take Pictures/Scans
  9. Add (5) MF Listings to Amazon
  10. List (5) items on eBay
  11. Add (5) listings to Etsy
  12. Add cards to Kronozio - strictly a trading card site
  13. Watch YouTube videos

Have you visited our website lately? Everything Simply Sandoval all under one roof. All our listings on Amazon, eBay, Etsy and Kronozio altogether.

I don't always finish my list of things to do for the day. Family always comes first.

This is what we use for our business:

I just bought the turbo 450 printer and it works great. I've used the twin turbo for years with no problems.

We use both of these labels all the time.
Labels:
Mailers:
Packing Tape:
Scotch Tape:
I get Scotch Tape at the local Dollar Tree in 2 packs for $1

Other Cleaners:

Goo Be Gone, Brasso and Magic Erasers - All bought at the local Wal-Mart
For those pesky old price stickers we use Magic Erasers and Scotty Peelers.

Shoe Cleaners, polishes, and sprays:
We buy all this at the local Wal-Mart.
All-Purpose Cleaner:

This is an excellent cleaner for built up grime, grease, yellowing from cigarette smoke and the like. We used this in the house we moved into. The previous owner smoked in the house. The walls were yellow and the custom cabinets were caked with grease and cigarette smoke. The little garage was used as an extra pantry. The canned goods exploded in the heat and then stuck to the shelves in 1/4" to 1/2" inch think dried up molasses looking spills. We spread it on and we were able to take a putty knife to it about 10 minutes later. This is just an awesome cleaner.

When I use other items I will gladly add them to my recommendations.

We have a sale already today. Today looks promising, sales wise. It is warming up again here in the 707. Have to get some stuff done outside today. Got my work bench top finished. Now to sand it down, fill some wood because it was made out of recycled wood (whether fense boards, pallet boards, or shelving boards). Then layout all my equipment. That will be fun! I still have a lot of my tools in boxes and away from the main bench. I have already attached my vise.
Had to go out of town today and out of town again tomorrow.

06/26/17 Daily Blog

It has been a couple days. I have lots of orders to get out today. Got everything packaged up and sent out.
What have we been doing the last couple days? We moved our office computers into our bedroom so that we can stay cool here in the 707. Had to get organized office wise, again. I was also sick from the antibiotic that was given to me for the dog bite.
We have an outbreak of ants. Febreeze works great. They are passing over the cinnamon and the vinegar.
Have to get settled in now so that work can happen. Some work got done today. Good to be back at it.

Up early to water the garden. Have to get that more mainstream.
That darn cat has brought another bird into the house. It is lost somewhere in the bedroom. I heard a tweet last night and couldn't find it. Still, can't find it. Maybe it was outside our window and sounded like it was inside?
Amazon has changed some things and we have a lot of media and plush returning from FBA and these eventually will be placed on eBay. We are doing well in selling trading cards on Amazon. A lot more $ than we've seen in the entirety of our business. I will be putting some of my extras (backstock) onto eBay and possibly some vintage on Etsy. This is the game plan anyway. With a one person show, it's going to take some time. 😔
