01/14/2018 Bi-Weekly Blog

If you haven't been to our website, come check it out. Where can you get cashback towards your next order, www.simplysandoval.com.

We will continue to add new products as much as we can.

Goals for 2018: Get all platforms performing at the same time. Sales on Amazon, eBay, Etsy, eBid and website each week. The sales aren't the best on all the channels, but something is better than nothing. List, List, List.

We've been carrying inventory around from our previous brick & mortar stores and flea market booths. NOW is the time for it to all be SOLD! Haven't gotten to it. Hope for this coming year.

My thoughts on our recent sales:
  1. As always, if you don't list it you can't sell it.
  2. Sales have slowed some. Hopefully, they will pick up.
  3. All years of trading cards sell, even the mass produced years.
  4. Any sale is better than no sale.

This is what we use for our business. Some links might contain affiliate links.

I recently bought the turbo 450 printer and it works great. I've used the twin turbo for years with no problems.

We use both of these labels all the time.
Labels:
Mailers:
Packing Tape:
Scotch Tape:
I get Scotch Tape at the local Dollar Tree in 2 packs for $1

Other Cleaners:

Goo Be Gone, Brasso and Magic Erasers - All bought at the local Wal-Mart
For those pesky old price stickers we use Magic Erasers and Scotty Peelers.

Shoe Cleaners, polishes, and sprays:
We buy all this at the local Wal-Mart.
All-Purpose Cleaner:

This is an excellent cleaner for built-up grime, grease, yellowing from cigarette smoke and the like. We used this in the house we moved into. The previous owner smoked in the house. The walls were yellow and the custom cabinets were caked with grease and cigarette smoke. The little garage was used as an extra pantry. The canned goods exploded in the heat and then stuck to the shelves in 1/4" to 1/2" inch think dried up molasses looking spills. We spread it on and we were able to take a putty knife to it about 10 minutes later. This is just an awesome cleaner.
When we use other items I will gladly add them to my recommendations.

05/22/17 Daily Blog

Expecting my replacement phone today. I have been without my phone for well over a month now and really haven't missed it. However, we are getting back into the swing of things and sourcing is part of that so it was imperative to get ahold of Verizon and get a replacement phone sent to me.

Still looking for a piece of the photo studio so that we can get pictures taken for the eBay drafts that we have ready to go.

As a reseller one must keep some things to themselves, all the while being transparent. I am not making millions here. I hear some sellers saying they make this much in this amount of time. This might be gross. To each their own. I am here just trying to have fun on the hunt while selling goods. The $ that is net paying the bills and goes into savings. We take one nice vacation a year before school starts as a family. We do not own fancy cars or a house. We are renters awaiting the right time to buy. Hopefully, the owners of this house will sell it to us. 😃

Here's the list for today:
  1. Check for orders. Get orders shipped out.
  2. Check for local auctions.
  3. Check for yard/estate sales
  4. Add smalls via spreadsheet to Amazon
  5. Add items to Inventory Lab #FeedTheBeast
  6. Take Pictures/Scans
  7. List, List, List on eBay
  8. Watch YouTube videos
As always check out our store, Simply Sandoval.

Feeling the need to craft. Will start setting up my workshop tomorrow. Need to tear out the table tops (1" particle board). They are weathered and warped. Need to put a brace down the middle of both benches.

05/14/17 Daily Blog Happy Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day to all the Mothers out there. Being a Mom has forever changed my life. We could not be more blessed to have our son.

Finally caught up on globalvoodoo and what he's up to these days.

The life of a reseller is not for everyone. It is not easy being a reseller. Others look down at you as if this is not a real job. Isn't anything that brings in money a job? Since I hurt my hip I have been staying in the car more when out shopping. I have been watching the panhandlers in my area. One lady asked me for $ twice yesterday all in about 10 minutes. She was dressed well, wore makeup and was clean. Whether she was looking for cigarette/beer/drug $ she was well known and lots of people gave her $ and hugs. Panhandling can be a source of income. There is even a family (a husband and wife and their two sons, the youngest is probably about 9 years old). The husband holds the sign and the wife collects the $. They are all clean and well dressed. Perhaps this is their only income. I have heard that one can make good $ doing this. This job is just not for me.

Reselling is hard work whether it be Thrifting, Retail Arbitrage, Online Arbitrage, Drop Shipping, or whatever. Research, research, research. This all takes Time and Time is money. I do thrifting and retail arbitrage. I just can't, not go on the "hunt". I guess you can ever call this an addiction. I have always sold smalls and probably will until I can no longer. This is my niche and I prefer this because of my knowledge. Smalls don't take up a lot of room and can be stored easily.

Listening to some tunes and moving more things around in the office. Can't wait until all the moving is done.

As always check out our store, Simply Sandoval.
